Advanced Beginner/Intermediate Chess (4:30pm PST)

In this 55-minute workshop students will be focus on Advanced Beginner and Intermediate Chess skills. Students will be grouped based on their skill level.

Advanced Beginner student- students will learn new strategies to outwit their opponents. Students should either have taken our Chess for Beginners class or have at least 1 year of Chess experience with a solid understanding of all the pieces.

Intermediate student- students will learn about pins, skewers, batteries, forks, and other common tactics, and further exploration into alternative openingsStudents must have familiarity with special moves and different stages of the game. This class is suitable for students who have played more than 15 games on ChessKid.com or on Chess.com.
