Ballet Basics
Little dancers begin building their ballet skills through imaginative play all while building their dance vocabulary. With an emphasis on making ballet both fun and approachable for beginners, don’t be surprised if you find your young dancer leaping and spinning after class. This class uses a mix of classical music, Disney songs, and kid-approved pop music.
Budding Bishops
In this 25 minute interactive kids will begin to build their Chess foundation. Students will learn about the chessboard, piece names, piece positions, and starting positions. With a small class size, this class allows your kid to start to build the skills they need to develop strategies when playing with peers.
Creative Movement
Songs, Skipping, Dancing, and imagination playtime: Ms. Rae’s Live web based class offers your little one a fun opportunity to keep moving. This class builds locomotor skills and dance technique.
Karaoke Sing-along
In this 55-minute class, kids will use vocal warm-up games and learn to sing some of their favorite Disney and Pop songs. The lyrics of the Chorus will be shared with students, but the full ability to read is not required. This class uses prerecorded Karaoke tracks. Kids are encouraged to dress up and bring their microphones because we’ll be rocking out in this zany sing-along. Improve vocal technique while singing some of your favorite songs from Moana, Frozen, The Lion King, Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, The Beatles, and more! Perfect for kids who like to sing or have always wanted to try singing.
Storytime Adventures
In this interactive 25 minute class, students will start the session by playing drama games that boost self-confidence and build public speaking skills. Following our games, kids are encouraged to share what they see in the story as well as act out different parts of the book. Every storybook adventure ends with a short Fairytale Dance Party! Our storybooks are diverse and dramatic.
This class is designed to develop listening skills, group interaction, movement exploration, and observational skills. Students are invited to reflect on the story and share their favorite part.
Kids Dance Party
In this 25 minute jam session, we’ll crank up the music and have a virtual dance party. Kids will learn a few dance moves and freestyle will be encouraged. A great way to start the weekend, our virtual dance party allows kids to connect with other kids from all over the world. It’s a great way to let your kid burn some energy while feeling positive about their own style of dancing.
Kids Hip Hop
In this web based kids dance class, students ages 4-6 explore both Old School Hip Hop, new trends, and street jazz. Students will learn dance technique, Hip Hop terminology, how to create their own freestyle, and how to follow choreography.
Rhythm & Instruments
In this 25-minute class, students will play rhythm games and use homemade instruments to make music. Through clapping, stomping, jumping, banging, and booming we’ll explore different musical styles while improving musicality.

Yoga Games
This isn’t your grandma’s sun salutation! In this 25 minute class, kids will play build their yoga knowledge and body awareness through yoga games. Starting with a fun fact greeting kids will transition into a series of games and end with a basic flow. Yoga Games offers a great way for high energy kids to find balance and focus.
Ages 7-12
If your 6 year old is comfortable with longer class times then you may register your child in this age group. Please note all students are expected to be able to use the devices independently (mute, unmute, camera on).

Arts Club: Exploring Modern Art
Want to learn to draw your own Picasso style self-portrait? In this 55-minute art club, students will learn a bit about the history of a different modern artist each week, then create their own art in the style of the artists. Some of our diverse artists explored include Jacob Lawerence, Pablo Picasso, Keith Harring, Wassily Kadinsky, and more.
Art Club: Nature & Animals
A little paper and a lot of imagination goes a long way in this 55-minute crafts class. Students will draw pictures based on the theme of the day. Themes include: Farm Animals, Planets, Under the Sea, and more!
Ballet for Beginners
This 55 minute beginner ballet class is designed to build strength, flexibility, and ballet technique in a supportive environment. Foundational skills developed can improve body awareness and help in any style of dance. Suitable for beginners and dancers looking to maintain their practice.
Chess for Beginners
In this 55-minute interactive introductory Chess class, students will begin to build their Chess foundation. Students will learn about the chessboard, piece names, piece positions, and starting positions. With a small class size, this class is perfect for absolute beginners and for students who haven’t played Chess in awhile.
Chess (Advanced Beginner)
In this 55 minute interactive Chess class, students will learn new strategies to outwit their opponents. Students should either have taken our Chess for Beginners class or have at least 1 year of Chess experience with a solid understanding of all the pieces.
Coding with Python
In this 55-min class, students will learn the foundations of coding through an actual, in-use, programming language: Python. They will follow along with a coding teacher and take a step into the 3rd most popular computer science language among programmers used by companies like Google, Wikipedia, Facebook, Amazon, and more. This class is a great start for young minds interested in computers.
Craft Club
A little paper and a lot of imagination goes a long way in this 55-minute crafts class. Students repurpose household items to make fun crafts. Put those art supplies to good use and get ready to get crafty!
Youth Hip Hop
In this web based kids dance class, students explore both Old School Hip Hop, new trends, and street jazz. Students will learn dance technique, Hip Hop terminology, how to create their own freestyle, and how to follow choreography.

Drama Club
In this 55 minute acting class, students will play drama games while taking a closer look at acting technique for improv, commercials, television, film, and theater. This class is designed to help improve performance and public speaking skills while still inspiring future actors.
Flexibility & Tumbling
In this 55-minute class, students will gain a basic introduction to acrobatics by rolling and tumbling around. With a focus on flexibility, students will practice cartwheels, splits, forward rolls, and handstands. This class is a great place to start for those interested in acrobatics or gymnastics while still being interesting and informative for those with some previous experience.
Musical Theater Song and Dance
Has your kiddo watched Hamilton a dozen times on Disney Plus? Maybe they love grooving to the soundtrack of Wicked or Hairspray? In this 55-minute class students will explore a musical theater song and learn a short dance combination. No previous singing experience or dance experience required. Suitable for Beginner and Advanced Beginners.
Pop & Rock Sing Karaoke
It’s cabaret for kids! In this 55-minute class, kids will learn to sing along to their favorite pop or rock songs while using proper vocal technique.
Each class starts with vocal warm-up games, then students will pick a pop or rock song provided by our teacher. After practicing our songs, students will have a chance to sing their favorite pop & rock songs. All other sessions are with prerecorded Karaoke tracks. Song list includes tunes from Taylor Swift, Katy Perry, The Beatles, Shawn Mendez, Camila Cabello, and more! Perfect for kids who like to sing or have always wanted to try singing. This class offers a fun approach to make casual singing more enjoyable.
Please note: students will be reading song lyrics. If your child is newer to independent reading or has learning needs that make reading a challenge at times, we are happy to send you the song material in advance to allow your child to practice before class.
Tap for Kids
This 55-minute beginner tap dance class is designed to build dance techniques in a supportive environment. Suitable for beginners and dancers looking to maintain their practice.
Tap shoes are not required for this class, however, If your child has tap shoes you may use them. Sneakers or no shoes at all work perfectly fine for this class.
Yoga Games

Frequently Asked Questions
WHAT EQUIPMENT DO I NEED?
Classes are taught through Zoom. You do not need to download the Zoom app to attend. You may use a computer, table, laptop, or smartphone. If you prefer to simply call in, know that the instructor cannot see you.
DO I HAVE TO SHARE MY CAMERA?
Sharing your camera is necessary for all movement classes and most group classes. All students must do a verbal/ visual check in at the start of class. If your kiddo is shy or your family has other reasons for not wishing to share your camera please carefully review our studio policies prior to registration.
If your child is concerned about other students “seeing” them contact us to discuss.
DO YOU OFFER REFUNDS?
We understand that restrictions on movement has impacted many families differently. Our class sizes are small to allow for improved student teacher and peer to peer communication. By booking a class or appointment, we are turning away other interested parties.
We are unable to provide refunds, but will work with you to renegotiate services provided should a significant change in financial ability or physical health impact your child’s ability to continue with programming.
CAN WE RESCHEDULE OUR CLASS?
Understandably your availability may change. If you need to reschedule please provide as much notice as possible. If it is at least 24 hours before you class is scheduled to start you will be able to reschedule using the parent portal. For less than 24 hours email help@choreographybyrae.com
WHAT IF THE CLASS ISN’T WHAT I EXPECTED?
We work hard to provide clear class descriptions. If you are registered for the same class more than once and your child does not enjoy the class contact us. We will transfer your child to a class that is more suitable. Email help@choreographybyrae.com
DO I HAVE TO PAY PER CHILD?
Yes because class size is small we do ask that you pay per child. If you have more than 2 children participating, email us for a discount.
DO YOU OFFER PRIVATE LESSONS ?
Yes! You can schedule a private lesson. The private lesson can be used for 1 child, all the kids, or for the whole family. To schedule visit Private Lessons page or contact Rae directly.
WHAT IF WE NEED TO CANCEL?
Reschedule request may be made no less than 24 hour before the scheduled start time. For a class credit.
If you are experiencing a health emergency that prohibits providing advanced notice, please contact us to discuss.
If you wish to cancel a class, you must provide at least 24 hours notice to receive a class credit to your account. We do not issue refunds. Be sure to check your time zone.
MY COMPUTER CRASHED! WHAT DO I DO?
Tech Issues- Your internet may crash or the dreaded Microsoft Updates may take over. We get it, just email us at help@choreographybyrae.com to have a class credit applied to your account. Your class credit must be used within 30 days of the original class date.
