In this drop-in class, students gather to read, discuss, and perform classic theater scenes and plays. Students will first participate in theater games before exploring the assigned reading for the day. Once the reading is done, they will discuss the material, then act it out. This is a donation based class. Advanced registration is required.
Plays explore various themes including: murder, affairs, violence

What is “classic theater?”
Classic theater generally refers to plays written before the 2000’s. Students will have an opportunity to explore works by: Shakespeare, Arthur Miller, George Bernard Shaw, August Wilson, and Eugene Ionesco. We will not be acting out scenes from modern t.v. shows.
Do students need acting experience?
No. Students do not need theater experience but should be interested in acting/ theater.
